I was just asked for my Grandma Button’s Molasses cookie recipe so I thought I would post it again. I use it as a dimensional analysis exercise after serving these delicious cookies to my class on October 21 (yes, I changed Mole Day to October 21 to be more “metric friendly.”) Here is the recipe. I really make these cookies using a metric balance and obtaining the masses indicated. I do use a metric “teaspoon” for the spices, sodium hydrogen carbonate, and sodium chloride, but I use my balance for everything else.
