December 17, 2016 @ 09:30 - 11:00
FreeHigh school seniors and CNY science fair winners Andrew Park, a student at Manlius Pebble Hill School, and Alexander Wulff, a student at Skaneateles High School, will speak about their interest areas and how that led them to participate in this year’s Intel International Science and Engineering Fair, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, at the MOST, 500 S. Franklin St., Syracuse.
Park will speak about Tesla electric cars, why they’re better than gasoline-powered cars, and why students will want one as their first car. Wulff will discuss the power of computer programming and how he has used it to start a successful website and mobile application development business.
Junior Café Scientifique is sponsored by the Technology Alliance of Central New York (TACNY), and usually held on the third Saturday of the month during the school year at the MOST. A light breakfast is provided. Participants must be accompanied by an adult. The event is free, but TACNY asks that you RSVP to jrcafe@tacny.org. After the event, participants are welcome to explore the museum at half-price: $6 for adults and $5 for children 2-11.
