To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the Periodic Table (#IYPT2019) the Division of the History of Chemistry of the American Chemical Society is sponsoring a contest open to ALL (students, teachers, parents, friends, family, artists, non-artists) to create a poem, cartoon, or photograph with themes related to the chemical elements, their discovery, or uses.
Prizes will be awarded by a panel of judges and winning art will be published in the HIST Newsletter and Website.
Submit your original art by August 31, 2020 to the HIST Program Chair, Nick Tsarevsky at: nicktsarevsky@gmail.com or nvt@smu.edu) as an attachment to an email with the subject line: “Elemental Art Competition- (your name)”. Winners will be notified in late 2020.
